wow,its been awhile beautiful

Hello everybody! It's me again. Yeah, it's been awhile. A little too long, I think. So let's do a quick catch up,shall we?

Since my very first post, a lot has been going on in my boing, mediocre, teenage life. First of all, high school graduation, I am finally free. The commencement ceromony marked the start to one of the best summers of my young life.

Summer was full of surprises, some good, some bad. For the first time in my life so far, i fell in love, and after that, summer just fell into place. I spent most of the month of June working my ass off, trying to raise some money. But it was all worth the lost hours of summer sleep, because at the beginning of July, i set off with my partner in musical crime, stewbot, to Illinois for a summer music festival known as Cornerstone. The week, was spectacular. The weather was cool, the camping grounds were awesome(stew and i were one of the lucky few whose campground had an amazing view overlooking the lake), and the best part of it all...the music. All week long, from early in the morning, to early in the next morning, music filled the summer air. Over 100 bands (this may be an exxageration, but i doubt it, there were probably more than that) played on stages of all different sizes. Some played on huge stages in packed tents, while others brought their own generators and set up stage wherever they thought people would be able to hear them. Most of my days were spent simply walking, loving the freedom to discover new sounds and see new things. My love was with me most of the time,(his band played 3 shows at the fest) while alison went off to find some cools friends of her own. Everyday, we took the necessary drive into macomb to their walmart, taking advantage of their in-store subway and in-door plumbing. The week was simply perfection, but all good things must come to an end. And to mark the sad day that we would all have to load out of our musical haven and head home, God saw it fitting to send a day of constant rain. my love and i parted, and Stew and i prepared ourselves for the seven hour journey that laid ahead.

The rest of July was a blur. I spent the week after Cornerstone working my life away again, trying to get in some more hours before i left with my family and very good friend Lee for FLorida. We spent the week going from the beach to the cottage that we had rented, relaxing in any way we knew how. We dined, we sunbathed, we burnt, and then we headed home again.

I couldnt wait to get back from Florida, because after we returned my boyfriend would be coming up to meet my family for the first time. Talk about stress! But he did great, and despite what he thinks, they really liked him. Then afer that, i had to use the time we spent apart mentally preparing myself to meet his family. So, one week after his visit to the north, i made my way south to meet his family. The visit was perfect, his family was so welcoming, and they made me feel welcome right away. With him, i enjoyed sushi for the first time(dont believe everything you hear, its delicious) and then i headed back home, feeling great about the future of our relationship.

For the rest of the summer, i worked, and laid around the house. But as August began to draw to a close, I started to pack all my things, and prepare for my next step...college.
